So here I am, finishing up my last year in Uni
Coming to an end with my last cycle on the JB team
Walking away from some relationships that have not exactly been right for me
I did hurt some along the way, but somehow I got some release and let go.
I want to return back and concentrate on the more important stuff.

Ultimately nothing else is going to get me through but God alone.
Reserving every ounce of needed strength, time, committment to one Love alone.

flaggin red lights, daunting streams and running hurdles

truly need to kill this whole procrastination, more like fear to be exact, of touching my notes.
I can sit at my table for 7 hours straight, flip through 6 chapters of notes - highlight, scribble, paste sticknote pads all around the borders and still..I stare blankly at my notes, wishing somehow the examiners would just cut us students some slack and allow for audio-responses instead.

I have full confidence in voicing out my opinions and stating information down faster by talking it out, and absolutely dreading this whole point in writing down endless flow of infomation within 3 hours.

Being concise is one thing, but how do you automatically rephrase, summarise all forms of egs used by my lecturers into conceivable sentences when what the examiners want is a focused answer and not one made out of egs.

That aside,
I've been going out too much with so many groups of people, YES I LOVE THEM ALL DEARLY.
Absolutely adore each person I meet for their wonderful personalities.
And its like being in a group, where you know pretense is inexistent, letting God be in control of my friendship circles, made my heart lighter, joyous, appreciative of all things good, silly and funny.
The wisdom I pick up from there, the thoughts and considerations I've developed to be better..
TO BE BETTER!

simply said, you know why I love reading my bible.
Because not only does it hold truths in it about who God is, its more than just knowing about God.
Its about how Christ-like WE ARE MEANT TO BE!
It's about more than just hearing the gospel and shoving it aside, it's about how His cross of salvation, brings renewal, brings peace, brings hope and more than that, faith and PURPOSE and EVEN MORE SO LOVE.

Words barely explain how God's words works spiritually which then becomes reality, in love, thoughts, mentality, attitude, reaffirming and correcting your belief and yes, your way of looking at everything.

I don't want to be that one person who takes on one perspective of a situation and have me stuck in a pit when it goes down the drain. God's words really opens up my eyes, to re analysing my shortcomings, opening my new eyes to seeing how a situation so bad, can still be worked in a positive manner.

God's words, sets that standard of behaviour in His righteousness for myself..and knowing whenever I fall out of line or below that rightful level I'm suppose to be at, helps me re align myself and know when to return to Him for counsel and repentance...A father's love that is merciful, wonderful and glorious.

Thank You Jesus, You've made my year a wonderful journey to learn from.

A brand new chapter

It's tomorrow.
Really can't believe it.
I AM EXCITED cos it'll be a new chapter to add to my life in serving God.
I am going to join thechurch in JB, a brand new chapter for myself as well as my church!
Though my tired smile doesn't quite express it, I REALLY AM IN AWE of what ever that's going to happen.

Today, was different, different from other days which were different too.
I was struggling before net rally.
Struggling to find peace.
It felt different while I was at church office, it was a light joy to be helping out, but just reaching tiong, I felt my heart sink.
Tired, unexplainable exhaustion and just mood swings.
Yes I think I do know why, and I had to do something about it.
I was uncomfortable, the atmosphere which i stepped into was flooded with negativity, my mind began its cycle of thoughts.

I began to cry out inside.
Crying out for a release, a release from my usual weekend struggles.
But God had me straightened out at the right time,
He had my heart open to receive the encouragement, to receive the joy that my net members shared about their lives, and He had me in His hand this whole time when He knew I was going to fall.

As much as I like to use the monthly thing as an excuse to avoid the moodiness,
it's not that.
Not it at all.
Just things I need to settle with God and my heart, though externally everything seems okay.

Last night, talking to tanzy and coming clean with her about my own thoughts, made it a step toward relieving myself of the guilt that our friendship went down hill. The faults we both had was never dealt with but last night, things were clear, it was never about judging, it was never about cheating. It was how we both as girlfriends were going to deal and accept each other's faults with that same amount of love and respect and not change it over committed mistakes.

Reading a short message from Aunty Jacq, and it was encouraging to know that I am on the right track.
I'm glad that this is happening. I guess a needed break from the routine of my weekend life and replacing it with a great purpose of serving God.

Just pray that I can cast aside those thoughts and take on the desires of God to go all the way for Him. I keep pulling myself back which is frustrating, and I need to fix on the armour of God to protect myself so much more.

It'll be a tough road ahead as I seek God to deal with my life as well as push me on.
I am ready for this challenge. :)

I suppose it's not wrong to say that I DO NEED this challenge to make me stronger and soldier on. This is me, my identity.

I really have no idea why I'm at this stage...

REEVALUATING everything around me.
like with whom do i have my heart to heart talks now. [not many, or none nowadays]

Troubling, somesort.
I chose this, to avoid, thinking all i had to do was call God whenever I needed to talk to.
That i don't need to talk to a friend or anything.
Then I read galatians about how brothers should share their burdens with each other and all..
To you whom I want to share with, I can't, for many unforgettable reasons why, and now it's awkwardly weird saying anything.
To the other I want to share with, I can't, for reasons i'm not going to devulge.
and To another, then again makes me reconsider if I'm just going to look like a whiney fool wanting attention.

Asking God if I'm the one who pushes? Is it my silly mind always being critical of just how my friendships go.
Not a good track record to begin with, but i know He's taken that worrying past away, and now I'm faced with new thoughts.

I think this weekend away, would be great though, for 2 months too.
It's an opportunity away from it all to let me clear my mind.
It can't possibly be my exams clouding my mind.
Is it irrationality?

How are good friendships ever justified? everyday contact? or plain-when i'm in need i call you?

But on the positive side:
I'm fever-free, [being unkind to my health by being up at this un-godly hour], but still croaky in the throat though..

Close to about 2 years now since aunty Monica's passing.

I do miss her greatly.
A net leader of an entire adults group and she was only 17 in poly.
Her liveliness, her joy was all so natural and definitely that spark that brought tenderness to you heart with so much warmth.
Her heart was truly for people, her boldness was God-given, her rejoicefulness was shared with the high heavens and her smile was a gift to the weary.

I'm glad to have been in that net, since a toddler and all the birthdays we celebrated! Night outings after lifegroup and everything. Her life's testimony is my goal, to be like her as much as possible, to follow her footsteps like how she was so alive for God.

To honour God like how she did, truly thank God for such an inspiration in my life!
I say this and feel this all the same, but though she has passed on, my mind somehow has yet to register it, even til now I still feel she's busy sharing her joy and the Gospel to someone in need somewhere in the world. Her legacy of her service to the kingdom is still greatly present and deeply engraved in my heart for such a wonderful wonderful endearing polished pearl.

Where did we even begin

Juggling things, yet not feeling much of a straint as i should yeeks me out.
Grateful that God took all this stress and everything off my shoulders, to be able to go about the hectic and full-on load of church stuff, yet still enjoy what I do for Him without feeling as much as an ounce of pinch on my skin.

Yes, I won't deny the number of times I've been sleeping in til late recently as a result of running around too much, but as I worry now and then that I may not be able to soak in all that excessive flow of information as I study and think of my net, my responsibilities, my commitments to school, to home, to my CW kids, to my friends outside, tuition stuff and other nitty gritty stuff...Somehow this unexplanable peace just resides within my soul.

Just awhile ago in the car, as i tuned in to BBC, coincidentally, it was a talk about teenagers and ambitiously taking on tonnes of activities which can cause burnout. I questioned if I were in that category?
Do I let go of some of the stuff which I'm doing, ( I know I'll cry, cos it'll feel like i'm letting some people go), Lord knows I don't wanna do that.
If I do, who is responsible enough to take over, to not be bias, to be impartial, to be better than what they used to be, to go at it strong, to do it willingly, to know the importance they play, NOT for man but for God alone, and to realise that its not a role that seeks empowerment or status, but a role that benefits himself/herself in spirit seeing the region grow positively?

I've made a decision for my overseas trip next year, it'll be long, as well as for missions.
Seeking God more about this decision though.
My heart is still being stirred about this 4 month hiatus from Singapore and as much as I know I'm going to love doing this, I don't want to disrupt the plans He has in store for me.
As much as I know this is going to be a very tough decision for me to make, I really do hope He'll give me a sign and right timing.

Other thoughts about some people did come to mind, but you know, eventually, my emotions are irrelevant. My heart still does sway back and forth like a pendulum, hopeless fool. As they say, time will tell huh?

Enough said, sitting for my first end year paper in a days' time and I think this is as far as my thoughts go for tonyte before hitting my books, bible and the sack.

Ever found it scary, yet enlightening to know that all you need is to have faith and trust in God? I did. Well just look at how far I've made it :) . Maybe you should change your heart and mind about who you're trusting your life with, really!

God doesn't like filth and neither should any of us possess a tongue of slander and gossip and more so a tongue that spews out vulgarities. Unclean thoughts especially ill-hatred thoughts toward another being.

Its hurtful to know that when you're being treated nicely, and a refrain from possessing any negative thoughts about you, is what people try to do, yet to have them repaid with such comments, do you even want us to trust you or not?

I'm in need of God to guide me through this situation of trust.
I know I need to love, but to overlook it, would I be fueling the flaw.

Been missing in action for the last couple of months,
almost forgot i had a blog. :)
Doubt i'm going to be blogging much for the next few months until May.
Tight schedule ahead of me right after my Chinese New Year season. Don't get me wrong, I love the subjects I'm taking despite the immense amount of pressure I feel building up upon my shoulder and unsurmountable heap of knowledge to absorb. I really do do enjoy my classes. Just stressed as usual.

Studying environment has changed alot, stepping out on my own for real this time, no one to push me or aid me other than Christ alone. It's duper scary but somehow I know I'll pull through. Its scarier when I'm aiming for at least 3 As this year and to feel limited in capability. Its like beyond me, beyond the effort I'm struggling to put in daily to just do my work.

Past weeks were tough but for a different reason. Never seem to get my mind right about certain things, and how not connecting with people can sometime upset me. Don't want to make this such a "dark" post but as for the rest of you people who even bother to read this, Always treasure the ones you love.

I never believe what people say like " sometimes its tough, cos you've to like your sibling or parent because they happen to be your sibling or parent". I MEAN REALLY??? It's a pretty crappy statement to make and honestly, if you've got siblings and parents, LOVE THEM FOR WHO THEY ARE. all conflicts bring pleasure to the devil for it seeks to sow discords where love is found, SO ARE YOU REALLY going to let conflict define that relationship, and yet confidently walk to the alter where Christ is and claim to be strong in your Faith.

I've learnt my lessons the past few weeks and I've decided not to let my flesh act up while my spiritual being is being fed strongly by Christ. All I seek now is just these few months of cleansing my soul and rejuvenating myself back to be alive for His purpose once again.

Taking a break from a few duties have been on my mind, while my exams are closing on in, mom fears I'm too stretched among my studies, job and ministries. Lord, guide me...

Anyway, while I go off to reflect upon my day and do my quiet time, so should you guys! :)

and forever I'll remember that when tough times come, miracles will soon follow after.
Pray I'll regain my optimism!

big hello to my blog again.

a month long away from blogging has caused me to almost burst with so much i wanted to say on my space.
Anyhoo, a month away from the pleasures of surfing online has definitely got me more active out there.
Many things i've learnt, come to know of, a month of finding out truths, about me, about God about relationships, about family, about church, about friends, about change...

Been cackling away like an old witch for about 2 weeks now.
Event after event, never actually got a good rest ever since my birthday party. Been running around and now every single thing's a blur to me. My school notes and topics all jumbled up in my head, mushed up info and thinking clearly hasn't exactly been my thing for the entire month.

God has been awesome though, that's the only best thing which has been constant and clear by far. He took my despair, He made it into experience, He made me better and He helped me through a month long of tough situations. One after another, i cried over things. Things I knew I couldn't handle, things I could never admit cos' I wanted very much to do on my own. So after all those encouragement and praises, I still even more so wanna give God all the deserved praises and glory for He has been my strength, and my advisor.

Boy, do I miss my mom and sis.
They're away in China, while I sit alone at home nursing a slight fever and cough.
Now my home's so quiet.
No jokes to crack when no one's around to listen.
Doing my assignment seems pointless.(no matter what I say, I DO STILL DO MY HOMEWORK.)

argh. FATTY BOMBOM \.

Looking forward to Lulu bringing me out to dinner on tuesday. Haven't seen him for such a long time!!!:)

ALL CHEERS to the EDGE CONFERENCE for being sucha wonderful 3 day long adventure.
Though i didn't get to attend any of the day sessions, but just knowing I was part of something, I helped in every possible way I could, serving the Lord was all that mattered. I know I put my heart there, which is why I dare say I felt the Lord's love. Honestly,that's the most important thing to me right now. I need it. and yes, YOU NEED IT TOO! (you won't regret it!)

Never have I failed to lose my voice while screaming into a MICROPHONE turned to its max volume and still be outdone by their highpitched hyena voices.
please update me on the new phrase teachers use to replace " as noisy as a wetmarket"..
Seriously, I don't think $65 is worth losing my voice over.
Positive thing is that, my mom has prepped me well over my entire life on the best methods of torturing students and hearing her random rants on kids each day and ridiculous punishments she enforces on them. NO WONDER THEY ARE SCARED OF HER.

Took leave last friday to settle my school fees.

Looking at the many facets of people and myself, appreciating and desiring more of what He wants in me. I guess many a times I'm afraid of rejection but He's taught me to just embrace it like how Jesus did and CARRY ON LOVING.

Confused over the message.
What does bestfriend even mean anymore.
I never used that word on anybody and I never will until I meet my future guy.
As for now my only bestfriend is Jesus.
By faith I know He's standing by me all the way.

I learnt my lessons through many failed relationships.
And I thank God for healing me and helping me even when I back slided.
Now another hurdle to cross.
I would say the toughest for me yet.
Secretly harboring for that #1 spot, knowing it'll never happen.
Selfishly don't want to share.

Not wanting to deal with certain issues, is that running away.
Telling myself time and time again, "I need time to heal...", is that an excuse?
Am I delaying time to avoid truths I don't want to hear yet want to know.
I detest myself tearing so much when milk's been spilt and I'm pathetically sitting there holding a towel refusing to wipe up.

I had too much expectations, too much of my heart I put out there, is this the lesson I'm to learn to guard myself properly?
God has been great to me so far, He's blessed me in my academics and family and so many other aspects..But have I not been spending enough time praying about that last part.
I need to pray differently, to forget and put the past behind. But how do i deal with a past I cant leave behind because of a friendship that's been treasured so deeply, none can let go off.
I need to learn to put all faith and trust and hope in Him, for He's going to see me through thick and thin. But is it wrong to have thoughts of where I stand in his heart. I know who I am in God, but curiousity kills me at times.

One more week to go before i end work officially and get prepped to return to school.
Can't wait.
Begin an entirely new chapter for myself.
Am I being selfish or just plain stubborn to face it.
Anyway, I'm nervous about the release of results on sept 1.
Feeling close to a wreck hoping to see a miracle somehow.
Alot of What Ifs popping up everynow and then.
Its going to be fine, psychoing myself up, face it, take it and do it better.

Cool that i've still got girlfriends in UOL.
Life won't be all that bad.
I can do this. God will make it fine for me.

Of all the moments i crave for most, is to sit by the window sill and just gazing out.
Love people watching, love admiring the scenery, and hearing the once in a blue moon excitement my mom would happily tell me about God's beautiful creation. The details of life of the littlest creatures. Cuddling at home in my jammies and sipping hot cocoa, plugging into abit of D. Krall, amywinehouse,olstead and buble...I want to return to that innocence where everything was just about Love, way before experiencing "disappointment, brokenheartedness,anxiousness,desperation and lying to myself and to others".

Anyway I truly miss my childhood. All there was to life was just fairytales and hoping for a cute princecharming. Have to give my thumbs up to my mom for having me grow up on hollywood classics, disney cartoons where happily ever afters seemed so possible. Maturity and Age. Along the way, we lose ourselves - Hope, Love and Faith. I want all of those 3 back. Back to being contented, grateful for all i'm blessed with, and upbeat despite feeling battered.

What est said the other night, had me thinking for quite awhile. Being loved as I am would be the greatest gift in love. I pray that it'll last past the honeymoon period in future. I love hearing stories about how certain couples are so meant for each other. Through the rain, and finally finding their other half under miraculous circumstances. Lost my faith and hope in that aspect. Need to spend more time praying about it.

I challenged myself everynyte and i'm glad to say I'm getting better. I'm so enjoying NLT2. and doing our little campus outreach on NUS grounds was fun. Met this girl, Jane. Unbelivably receptive. Pity I couldn't make it to edge UC. Anyway, I'm so lacking in sleep. Hate how i do devotions at this ungodly hour. Have to change my habits. :)

How I wished our dollar notes had the following " In God We Trust" printed on each and every note. Woke up this morning to reading Romans on the bus. Kept reflecting upon the suggested verses by Charis. Faith.

Faith, the biggest word I feel that we all lack many a times.
To go by faith, to do things in faith.
I never liked walking on a thread and risking it all to get to the other side.
No one else does.
But a few nytes ago, what struck me was how God made us beings with faith. What's the point of Him wanting us to search for Him, if we could act on our own accord towards every "trial" we face.
I want to learn to just have faith in the impossible, for which He'll make possible and also faith in things my mind cannot perceive happening.

We tend to break down when our hearts break over issues we care so deeply about. Blaming God, intentionally or not, widens and deepens the wound. I'm still learning, taking baby steps to heal. I want to heal soon.

I wanna live til the day where in public, christians would freely just jump at the sound of worship and it'll be a norm. Praising God in public places, free from all that judegemental glances and weirdout facial expressions from strangers. Embracing God without fear.

During alter call, just standing there quiet in thoughts.
For a moment I felt dead, double checking if I've still got the Holy Spirit in me.
And in that moment, it was a warm sensation, I felt loved and a voice in me kept saying, He has always kept me in His heart as He in mine.

And as for patiently awaiting God's word, for quite awhile now, I guess being obedient and quiet aren't my forte. Devotions and prayers at nyte is like a package and straightaway, I knock out. At times i drool on my bible. yes. just don't ever touch my bible.

Anyway, I need to get myself together and not just rely on myself but rely on God.
Realised just how much I've been living under the pressure of responsibility and expectations when all along GOd never once mentioned responsibility in the bible nor had any expectations on us as beings or as His children..All He wants is for us to respond to Him and have a heart of expectancy. I'm just amazed at how God shows Himself through conversations and things I read. Its like BOOM - revelations. :)

Went home to try on my tights, I FEEL LIKE A PRANCING BALLERINA, my mom thinks i'm mad.

I love my pkks, I love playing bluff cos nothing beats watching tanzy jumping up and down like a maniac and charmo trying to bluff when she's gotta be the worse liar ever. Watching tanzy and shaun makes me happy for them. WAtching ig bullying kim tickles my funny bone and bin being a total humpty dumpty and charmo in a world of her own thinking she'd be able to lie while playing bluff..

I love my bimbos cos I don't think I ever laughed like one for quite awhile..talking bimbo was maybe what i really needed to relax. It was exhausting.
Just yesterday alone.
That overwhelming feeling, I needed to call God so badly.
I'm learning to step up and let go of things.
Out of this I will survive, I've God and people around me.
I know that in my weakest moments like these..God is my provider, my strength.

On a lighter note at work...
the only reason i dread working there...

JAM..on the road, in the bus..that's me on the last step of the entrance...

It was quite a long night.
Couldn't sleep with so much thoughts going through my head.
Felt so drained my legs were "paralysed", and my prayers somehow felt weaker last nyte.
I struggled.
Struggled to face the possibility/ perhaps the reality of the situation.
My optimism level was definitely on a down low...
I'll persist, I'll continue to pray cos' i really do believe in the power of prayer no matter how simple.

The Lord has been blessing me with so much,
and to just take a break from His works in me would be a total utter waste.
He's healed me physically before and now I know He'll heal me emotionally.

God's wisdom really has that overwhelming effect humbling down to a level to see myself in a different light. Once again He's used someone to really speak to me. "Do I not have enough faith to trust God's timing?"

On a lighter note, I've been having celery and green apple juice 3 times a day now, to guard against the trouble making H1N1..my sis came down with all the symptoms, and contaminated my bed..My mom had me disinfect the phone and to avoid the sofa my sis slept on..so mah fan.

Boy am I exhilarated by all that's happening.

Praying so hard I'll get a job, and I did, thanks to neo who intro-ed me to working at CSI(NUS).

Prayed about future possibilities, and guess what, the waitress whose name is Unicel, working at Mind's Cafe where we celebrated Charm's 21st, has placed an order for my cake! MY 2nd (technically) client!!

She's an awfully nice person, helped me prep charm's cake that day while waiting for the birthday girl to arrive..and right after getting to know where she's from, the next thought that jumped in was that this was My opportunity*!

At my first baking class, I got to know 5 other ladies, and they were a fun bunch to talk to! Amazing how I could get along with them so well, just imagine 5 bakers talking cake lingo! Loved my time there especially my instructor, sucha cute lady who was ever so helpful when i had doubts.. Even now, we're communicating via facebook and email, all of us..

Did some reading last nyte and I'm not sure if this has ever occurred to anyone before, but somehow I got sucked into my reading and before sleeping I prayed that somehow or rather God will let me dream of what Jesus saw in His time. To see what it was like. Admittedly, it's not like i understand everything mentioned in the bible, but even so, to actually dream vividly of having been in the past during Jesus' time would have been the ultimate dream ever. To dream of where Jesus' was sitting, while telling his disciples parables after parables (you know in happier times before his death)... somehow being a dreamer like Joseph has gotta be the coolest thing for me to achieve right now!lol...

Why did i bring this up?

Well, ever since street evangelism that friday at tiong. The kid that i was reaching out to was sucha nice kid though abit withdrawn cos' he was scared. What really formed a huge impression on my heart was when another older bigger size guy came by and asked him what my kid was filling out? so i said it was a prayer blessing contact form.. I got intimidated by the tattoos and fierceness he had on his face, and then he grabs my notebook and the track from the boy and shoves it back at me and says "sorry hor, we're satan followers, your God we don't believe, you christian right?..." I nodded,"It's really alright, be it whatevr follower you are, we're just here to pray over a blessing for your friend here only!" The stout fellow glances back at me again before walking off and says "we don't follow God, we is SATAN followers!"...

I didn't know what else to think, what else to do, I've never had anyone outrightly claim to be santanic believers...THat whole moment, I thought the boy I wanted to reach out to would leave and follow his "Gang" leader but you know what, God really did something to keep that boy there man! He looked at me and testingly gently slipped my notebook and track back to him for him to fill out. He filled out everything and you know what, he attended Fairfield Methodist church once, so it's a start.

I guess that night's happening so made me wanna do more. I mean it was just that simple conversation with him, it practically painted an entire picture in my mind, crying out to God to somehow help him even though he wasn't Christian at all. The friends that boy had could possibly lead him down the wrong route, but I can't say for sure, I mean who am i to judge.

I was reading a wonderful book called THE SHACK, its taking me quite awhile to get it over and done with as the content of it is quite heavy going for me to absorb all and remember how great God is...I mean the way God's love is being described, the reason for pain and sorrow and how judgemental we are as humans always blaming God and back sliding somehow, you'll cry laugh giggle at comments made in the book.i rate it 5 stars out of 5 for its relevance to my life and something which i will read countlessly over and over.

Anyway, any baking lovers wanna trade secrets do tag, and if you're only INTERESTED IN EATING...GO DROOL ON MY FB PAGE!!!

boy oh boy, i just can't wait for my baking class tomorrow!
Just had a chat with my instructor, Janet Seah.
She sounds chirpy and really fun to talk to. Hopefully I'll learn as much as i can from her, definitely need alot of pointers since I'm going to be baking a cake for a whole buncha people soon.

Made plans with lulu to go museum hopping and our photography session! lol..

I don't know why i feel a surge of happiness today. Despite going holland and shopping for baking stuff alone..I guess its because i read my bible like a story book during the day which i never done before frequently. Plus swimming and going for jogs, I feel hyped up to be a better soul for God, and awaiting friday impatiently for evangelism on the streets.

God, I Need A New Song

For months its been this and that.
I could only handle so much of ....
I thank God for being there, giving me a spirit that'll never back down and hide in my corner anymore.
He allowed me to find the support my naked eye couldn't see.
The sensibility to leap up in faith and take His torch and follow path I know I'd never have chosen.
Somehow or rather, last nyte, I was on an emotional topsy turvy.
Seeking security, wholeness and fulfilment.
I cried out to God once again like how i did months back, to heal, to understand, to be happy.
I always thought as long as I was able to be contented with who i am and what i had, God will love me no matter what. But that me was selfish as all that was mentioned was "I".

Somehow after talking to myself literally to bring my soul back to reconnect with my spirit and God, i feel so much better. Fears of being a leader, fears of being alone and fears of feeling insecure, yes I do still have them. But knowing that I've still got a good grip on my confidence level and knowing that the faith in Christ I possess won't let me trip over minor setbacks, I'm still pumped in worshipping my Lord.

It may never have been an audible voice from Him, but with the Holy Spirit as my conscience and guide, I know how much more capable i am. For my non-believing friends, my pkks, i know how weird this sounds, but from the bottom of my heart as I hold you dearly as close buddies, my only wish is that you'll get to see and experience the miracles I know I've been healed from and blessings in disguise that have totally transformed my character. There's still some bad habits I admit, but knowing I'm slowly going to rise from glory to glory. Goodness you won't know how much weight and burden has been lifted off of me.

Recently I've been having a health problem and the doctor did mention 3 possibilities.Only my net members would know. I delayed treatment and went to China to visit my dad, and left soon after for church camp. I was scared stiff because I hate hospitals. and I read articles that 97% had to undergo surgical treatments to permanently remove it. Boy oh Boy I was thinking about it night and day, picturing myself in a morbid way that i was lying on my death bed incurable. OKAY THAT WAS EXTREME. but still many singaporeans do eventually die of it. Anyway, after church camp, by then I'd been praying for almost a month i guess..and little did i realise that the thing i had was slowly subsiding and I didn't know why it healed so fast, but one thing I'm absolutely sure off is that I'm healed. I don't need to have any general practiticioner or specialist check me cos I'm so sure I'm healed.

As for matters of the heart. I'm in the process. Everyday I need a renewal. everyday i wish to be a better me. I pray for a stronger spirit and a more disciplined one.

and right before the holidays end, we decided to close with a splash at Jurong Swimming complex, basking in the ultra radiating sun and chilly "manmade" tides with eerie laughters from weird individuals in our group and capsizing of floats every minute.

I didn't exactly do much exploring around china, was stuck at my dad's apartment all week. I only picked out photos i took that were somehow my favourites in different ways. Depicting its dull-ness in the sense of colours. Don't get me wrong, i do like the place and culture though some habits do give me the shivers still. I just love people-watching.Funny how in just two days in shanghai and i experienced getting caught in the middle of a silverware fight between two storeholders at TAIKANG LU. It was thrilling.i'm a sadist.haha. Yes i did feel embarrassed to be Chinese when some caucasians walked by amused and scared, passing comments like "My oh my, barbaric people.." blah blah blah.

And i was angered too by what they said. Felt like going up to them and say maybe they should go down south to Singapore where the CHINESE ARE PEOPLE AND MUCH MORE WELL-MANNERED THAN YOU. THoughts like that made me sick, it was all racial and prejudice..in my head trying to justify how the caucasian tourists were right and battling insensitive thoughts of how much wrong there was in their comments. My dad kept reminding me over and over that judgments are not for us to pass but only God. Had to humble myself and my thoughts.

God's been great during camp.

I want to go out and do His Great work, be part of something though a small contribution but knowing how much a butterfly effect it'll have on many others would just bring joy to the Lord in all I do. Pst Jude Fouquier was great and his sermons were awesome.

Sometimes, praising God feels as though a great big bubble wrap has just covered me and i'm wrapped into a small gift package, so small yet valuable to Him. Close my eyes and i feel this sense of overwhelming presence of His. Presence of royalty in the function room, and i'm crying tears of fear, joy and its this whole big balloon of unexpected emotions, undescribable..

I stink at describing how i felt, but it was definitely for sure one of a kind feeling very out of this world.

And for that alone, I thank God for how much he's done in me, and the change I've seen in myself. Yea ive still some old bad traits in me, but my way of thinking has changed, my ability to control my temper has strenghtened with time and by his grace i'm able to stand on my two feet and say I CAN.

So we walked and walked and walked and walked and walked and walked and walked and walking still...... my sisters: dajie, er mei and san mei. btw fyi, we've got the same starting chinese character!

Met lulu again at nyte just to take photos of clarke quay.

Silly boy wanted all my funny faces so he could compile it.

Cool thing to do #1: gather your buddies,sit by the river side and talk and giggle-watch the nearby couples get all smoochy and mushy... grosse abit but fun factor (awesome)
this i should say would be my naughty and cheeky side. :P

Lulu taught me how to use the center focus thingy thingy function in the camera, but his camera was HUMONGOUSLY BIG and COMPLICATED. wish sabbie was with us, MORE FUN!

somehow i love this picture i took, if only i had my dad's canon with me. Love how it just screams PARIS!

I was abit disappointed with the photo opportunities, wanted to capture the night life of clarke quay but instead of picturing brightly lited shophouses, i had this sleepy boring dimly "sleezy" looking picture of pubs and pubs and more pubs.

Only thing which was bright was the 'central' word of the shopping mall.

Kinda felt that whole area no longer portrays that once family-friendly arena where kids could go to to enjoy the rides along the river where boats were intricately decorated with multiple lightings and small push carts providing all sorts of fun nibbles, plus that big fun house where arcade fanatics would flock to just to get a lil' taste of what coney island in singapore would've been like.

Tried to get a good focus on the water and back-splashes but it just seemed difficult when the camera i'm working is for basic purposes. Well, i'm going to save up and get me one of those biggie cammies. time to tighten my belt and mouth.

Love taking photos in the middle of the road. If i'm going england, i'm going to abbey road first thing when i touch down and do my walk across it.

There were 3 caucasians walking past us and i overheard them asking each other if it were alright to jaywalk or hail a cab of the sidewalk, and remarked about the ban of chewing gum.

Felt so much like telling them that they've been keeping their eyeballs in their pockets all this time without even observing how we singaporeans behave.jaywalking (yes we all do it), hailing a cab( we do it all the time, cos' we are definitely not patient enough to stand in line with the rest). what the heck, it was already 10pm by then, and i had spent the entire day on foot with blistered heels and sore toes

I'm still at the start of enjoying my hols (supposedly).
Here's a quick update of the past two weeks happening.
Beginning with right after my last exam paper on a friday (15th May)

Ate at the Tanlin Tree (where Friven & Co. is, opposite tanglin mall)
In a way my mom and I had brunch there celebrating my sister's birthday without the birthday being there!lol

bought my mom a bouquet..
here's a tip.
To save your mudder the trouble of having to nag at you, buy her a bouquet even if she says there's no need, and the present will most probably guarantee you a free nag pass for a week.
Not that my mom nags at me but as a kid, there've been moments i prayed to God for a mute button.(not kidding, seriously) I'm sucha a bad kid.
Still am naughty and cheeky to my mudder (as long as it keeps her laughing and smiling though)

I D-I-Y wrapped my grandma's bouquet too!!.haha.

this is to the people who think my chinese is really horrible.
just because i don't live breathe and eat chinese doesn't mean i can't read or speak it okay..
I personally think speaking chinese ends up with only the saliva sound being more distinctively heard rather compared to the syllables. You should try standing in the midst of an ongoing conversation amongst cheena men about business and watch how my dad also interprets and reflects almost the same saliva spewing gesture after awhile. - grosse-

You guys remember Ashley, the Florida senior who sent what might be the coolest e-mail of all time. Just after Passion 07 we received this from her:

Hi, I feel kinda weird writing this email. And i doubt if it ever gets to Mr Louie Giglio. I am a Senior at The University of Florida. I got a new roommate this semester and she is a Christian and I have never really been into the whole Christian thing because every pastor or speaker that I have ever listened to didn’t speak in a language I could understand. I have believed in God and Jesus, but never really understood it because the preachers at the church that I have always been forced to go to every Sunday of my life. They speak all high and mighty and I never really felt connected, and I felt like God was only for the perfect people.Well my roommate went to this Passion Conference over winter break. And she came back and moved into my apt and she was real and genuine about all her Christian stuff, like I have never seen before in a person. She said that God changed her at this conference, so i was like what are you talking about. And she told me. She told me about how God was cool, and how God really wanted a deeper relationship with her, and she wanted to really love God the way he loved her, so of course I was like well huh? She then said you need to listen to Louie talk about God, so I asked who Louie was, and she put on the Indescribable talk, and then we watched the Passport talk. And in the Passport talk you said that Christians do not have to just hope for the best at the end, that they do not have to do enough good stuff. You explained how to get to heaven in a simple way, in a way that I have never heard before. I actually got it, I got it that it is not about being so good, cause I am not a good person. I have screwed up a lot. But then you said grace, and talked about how is was different than other religions. Because God is a loving and a kind God who wants to forgive me. My roommate then explained that he wants to forgive me.Now for one of the reasons I am thanking you. One, I am now a Christian. And two, my roommate said that she had never really cared about telling others about how much God loved her before she went to this conference. So though I am not sure who will ever read this. Please tell Louie thanks from me, for talking about Christ in a way that a college kid can understand. I know that Jesus has changed my life and as I get ready to graduate college in May, I am gonna be a different person. I am sorry this is kinda rambling but I just had to tell you that I now know about the Grace of God, and I have life for the first time in my 22 years

I will never forget the day her message came. And I’m not going to forget last Friday. Waking early for the last day of Thirsty, I happened to see this on my Blackberry and opened it.

Dear Mr. Giglio,It is with a heavy heart that I send you this email. My daughter is Ashley, she wrote you an email that went on your blog and podcast Well, today May 3rd at 4pm we buried Ashley. She was killed in a car accident late on Sunday night. She lost control of her car and hit a light pole. She was the only car involved and had serious internal bleeding. She died in the arms of my husband at the hospital from unstoppable internal bleeding. But I have hope of seeing my daughter again. I have this hope because after years of praying for her, and watching her live a lifestyle in college that is known as the typical college experience. The last semester of her college career I saw a woman, not a college girl that I have never been more proud to call my daughter. I can point the thanks to you and Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, Matt Redman, and everyone else involved in your Passion Conferences. Ashley fell in love with our Savior over the last 5 months of her life. She was so excited about graduation this week and moving to California to work her first real job. She had a life ahead of her. I miss my beautiful princess more than anything in this world.

But I just felt like you should know that she listened to as many of your talks as she could get her hands on and read your book I am not but I know I am and she was so excited about God and her new found faith. Words alone can not thank you enough. I may never meet you here on earth, but I know that someday I will be able to meet you and give you a hug in heaven, but only after Ash does. Thank you so much for praying for my girl, and your support of her as she was starting her new life. Also thanks for being a man of God who has a passion, and love for college students.

Your vision to share the gospel and getting college students to do the same made all the difference at a funeral today. Instead of being sad and scared for her. We were able to sing praise and worship songs today. Though there will be tears and I am so very heartbroken and crying as I type this, it is only because I will not hold her for so many years. And I will miss her for the rest of my life. I know I have said thank you a lot in this email, but because of you and Christa (Ashley’s roommate) and people at the Bible Study that she was going to she was happier than I have seen her in a very long time. In the email she originally sent you, it said she had life for the first time in her 22 years, and please know she meant every word of that. She lived the last few months serving and loving and learning more about Christ. She will now spend eternity in heaven with Him so one more time thanks. I know this was long and I debated for the last 4 days as to whether or not to write you. I know you are a very busy man, but I also figured you would want to know.

By the third line tears were streaming down my face, blurring the words, but not the sudden reality of it all. I had just received an e-mail from Ashley a few days before saying how excited she was to finally be through with college and headed to a “real job” in the Bay Area of California. And now she was gone.

I was crushed, but I found myself pumping my fist in the air, confident that Jesus Christ overwhelmed death and the grave. And just in the nick of time, He reached through the confusion and hopelessness and brought Ashley back to life again. Her mom was kind enough to allow me to share her e-mail and sent a photo of Ashley so we could all put a face with the name that has brought much rejoicing throughout the Passion world in recent months. Anna, please know that you and your family will be in our hearts and prayers as you begin the process of living without the daughter you so deeply love. You will see her again. And with our prayers we are praising God for matchless mercy…mercy that saved the day and carried Ashley safely home.

the scorching heat of the sun is unbearable.
turn on the aircon to cool the room down and
in a matter of minutes i'm thrown in the arctic icy temperatures where my ikea blankie seems pointless to be used as an insultor of heat.

decided to rely on the conventional method of physically fanning myself.
as i cool myself down i'm creating more heat in my body.
a popsicle(is that how you spell it?) or is it popcicle? i think its the latter.
anyway i could use one RIGHT NOW.

17 again - i'd rather be 14

Miss my years in gms.
Miss the times when everyone knew just who you were,
Miss the times i was on stage emcee-ing,
miss the times i was going for extra drama classes and speech sessions,
i miss that outrageously drama mama persona i had on stage.
How you could feel that out of skin moment and you're just totally in your zone.
Boy, do i miss those moments, i'd flipflop over the national pledge during morning assemblies,
plus those times the entire school watched me rush in through the gate grabbing the school flag and have it hoisted up just as everyone's already standing at attention.

Watching 17 again, makes me feel like an oldie craving for that dim light that still flickers and waiting for the time when i get back to doing what i liked to do best. ENTERTAIN.
But you know what I'm a happy goldfish contented with my little bowl.
Yes I won't deny there've been things i wanted to change, that's cause i get really anal about certain things but still, I've already got back the one perfect thing in my life and for that, perfection in my eyes is nothing compared to the perfection He is.

Recollection of having been on stage for at least 10 years throughout primary school and secondary school. Funny how I haven't actually thought of the reason why i decided to take another route and let go of that...

Went shopping with my mom.
One of our buys, this pretty couture rose printed silk flare skirt with neat pleats peeking from beneath. Strive to lose weight to fit in it!

We Sang, Dance, Laughed and SNAPPED.

All 3 days at Good News Singapore, was a blessing, a gift i would perceive from God.

An annointed man of God, faithful servants, thousand plus souls seeking salvation, awesome band, simple message, all in one place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

I can definitely guarantee you there were MORE than 10,000 people at that INDOOR STADIUM on the first day.I knew it was going to be duper DOPE! but to actually see it happen, God is a God of miracles even before the Pastor Bonke preached.

The tired weary exterior on the volunteers faces helping out were nothing compared to how much joy we shared in unity as a church seeing so many new believers just reach out for God.

Planet Shakers' were a plus for the congregation, and seeing our youths really helping out and coming for all 3 days..

God is omnipresent and always will be and has been.

For this I'm thankful that no matter what i get myself into or life throws at me, God is there as my faithful friend.

We celebrated my mom's birthday having dimsums after SIS at 11 plus at nyte. Joel's parents were there along with carisser, veronica, andre myself, joel, and amanda.

Bought my mom a fossil watch!

She was more fascinated with the pattern on the underside of the leather strap than the clock piece itself.lol.

Its been like this the past few days.
Felt like I couldn't get things right.
Perhaps the "right" i wanted to feel was according to what i wanted and how i wanted people to see me.
Felt abit distant from things and lost. ( from God)
Every night I'll desperately crawl back to the Lord.
Seeking with tears.
Uncapping my bottle of fears and pouring it out in silence before Him.

I napped.
Finally tonyte, i woke up feeling remorse and utter disgrace. Realised just how its not them I should vent my anger upon but on nothing.
crazed myself up the past few days and practically affected everyone else.
created tonnes of excuses for myself to be pitied for.
what the heck.
I must spend more time in devotions.
Now i feel abit awkward talking to a few people.
My true colours have always been out on the platter for all to see.
But i don't want to admit that I am tired.
Because when I think back about what i'm exhausted about, nothing comes to mind.
I do things cos I'm doing it for God.
But at the back of my mind, I don't want to be taken advantaged of..
I love God, i really do...
But I'm still waiting for a sign to say I Really AM ready..

Earth Day yesterday.
Returning to the west from Yishun, and on one side of the highway all the street lights were turned off.
Felt so much like we were travelling along those scary roads in malaysia where the lamps were redundant and never in use (a way of saving electricity and energy source)
Then again, i kinda thought that switching off lights for one hour was pretty stupid since its not going to impact energy saving on the whole a great deal.
If you want impact do it everyday, entire country or a whole world thing.
what's the point of making global warming known when you still carry on letting individuals do as they please. Obviously without force or authority, most people won't be bothered to get a job done.
Have bills passed down GLOBALLY, so that everyday for an hour or 2 we are obliged to behave like cavemen and cavewomen.
there are so many pros:
1) ultimate reason, there's collectively a greater impact saving so much electricity since its a daily thing
2) Blackout so cannot study properly for tests.
3)The candle company would earn more profits
4)fire departments would finally be functioning
5)This would definitely test our national security system and how vigilante they are.
6)Gives photographers cool new ideas for photo moments.

okie so i'm being really lame.
buts its logical sense that campaigns carried out won't get the full cooperation of the entire nation unless strict force is used. After all, its undeniable that we're too use to freedom and are less constraint by what we can think and say in public.

I think everyone had a fun time.

a miraculous 27 people were there and i testified again.

it was absolutely SURREAL baby!

we fasted and prayed and i could feel the lord telling me to share my testimony since a few weeks back.

so marcus went first and then that ahpek decided to go straight into asking who wanted salvation.

but you know what i suddenly opened my mouth and went "eh what about me?"

then i shared!!lol

I had the whole room to myself,

I was just saying what i had in my heart and it felt so good saying it.

It was like a total confession of my past which i wasn't able to fully share during my on-stage testimony months back in december.

But to see how the entire room quietened down and from the faces of the new comers (all that seriousness and tears), it was like God's divine power moving through their hearts and I so do pray with tonnes of faith i'll see them at edge or the Good News Singapore evangelism outreach.

Was watching Dr Oz on Oprah tonyte,
one of the questions answered was regarding alcohol.
A lady from the audience asked about why men are able to remain sober after many shots.
Dr Oz went on to say that most males contain a certain enzyme in their stomaches that are able to digest 50% of their intake and only 50% of it enters their bloodstreams. Women on the other hand do not have that particular enzyme, so everything enters the bloodstream the moment she takes that first drink.

Here's what interested me more,
Asians do not have that enzyme at all..(most males and all females)...

I'm prepping for prelims.
Another 3 more papers to go.
In the midst of last minute reading up on bits of notes that I practically forgot,
today's message did speak to my heart.
Which is why i wrote this in the spur of the moment in between studying. My mind kept drifting off my notes every now and then.

Anyway, i just want to let my girlies know that i'm always thinking of you bums.

I'm not there always but i always have you in my prayers.

And i'd like to dedicate this to you girls.

God has been great to me all this while especially in the many new environments I've landed myself in. And my monkey tong pkks, whenever you're down and you can't find a way out, just pray first. God is after all the mightiest of might and the brain of all brains as well as the best listening ear around...

Behind all those naggy comments and endless noisy rants my mom has taken on as a life-time hobby...

I still do get my favourite honey-lemon drink when i'm sick.
My sis still gets her sprained ankle wrapped by her cos my sis can't do a good job.
My mom still meddles with my hair when i'm watching the tele and
leaves me ka-ching whenever like a money tree..

Random morbid thoughts just popped into my head while muggin..

Did i mention how much i hate the weather this past few days.
The silly bushfires and poor winds have been making me duper moody.
First i need to rant about the HOUSEWORK.
Yes, I've been the floors like forever, and I've never seen the magic wiper sweep up CLUMPS of dirt. I'm not saying my floors are dirty, its just that my windows are always left open and the air filled with INVISIBLE SOOT.

Secondly, I'm falling sick.
Just when its time to prep for my prelims which is next friday.
I'M FALLING SICK! THIS IS SO NOT HAPPENING!
BETTER START ADDING THIS TO MY PRAYER EVERY SINGLE NIGHT UNTIL MY EXAMS ARE OVER! and maybe if my body neeeds to really go through the process of breaking down and aching and nonsensical torture it has to endure, please please please do it DURING MY LONG BREAK.

Thirdly, MY EXAMS ARE COMING.
It's alright, I'm not going to fret (okay maybe i'll panic a lil'..)
God's with me, nothing else matters.
Just need to focus and try my best.
I'll pull through.
I'm no A-grade student, but thankfully even being average makes me good enough to pull through all of it. Then again, who's to say i'm average!?
I'm DAMN GOOD...not jack of all trades..but good and blessed in knowing i've got Brains from God supporting me through this.

Alot has been going on in my household and personally as my mental strength is being challenged. Sometimes i tumble just by undermining myself, and yet somehow i'm thankful for a certain wise words dropped by someone once in awhile on just remembering who I truly am in God's eyes and that no matter what others may think, it's God's expectations and thoughts about me that i should take into account only.

Even during this commercialised lovey-dovey day, its still evident Kiasu-ness and competitiveness runs in our veins somehow.

Outstanding balloons.. small petite girls struggling to balance carrying huge bouquets while on heels...Outrageously priced roses sold along the street, and it just grew steeper and steeper the further we walked.

okie nevermind, moving on..What I've gotten so far for valentine's day.

To all those too busy to care about a commercialised event of love, i'm with you ... partially.
I can vivdly remember a horrible experience i had while on bus 111 during Vday. EVERY SEAT had a couple in it, and i'm not lying. I got shoved to the upper deck back row with one empty seat next to me. It was a long journey home from town in short.

The other part of me is optimistic still. I'll find my other half soon..or God will! :)
In relationships its never about this whole "its not you, it's me" concept.
People you have got to realise that a divide between people always arises because of what the other party may have said, done or whatever. Anyway, it always takes two hands to clap and to make everything better, maybe its gotta be you yourself to make that move and ask your lovely half what went wrong, or just speak out on how you feel. For all you know, it might be that chance or choice you make that might just change the way you think or find out how your half reacts to situations like this.

For us single babies, here's something i indulge in or had Edge UC people indulge in..

THank God for keeping the rain away! Edge Uni Campus Pre-Launch BBQ was quite a success and the food was DELISH! I think 3 people packed the trays of uncooked meat home. That caterer sure knows how to marinate meat GOOD!
